Are the Birth Parents Able to Take the Child Back?Once the adoption process has been legally finalized, it is not possible for the birth mother or birth father to try to reclaim their son or daughter. Generally, during the adoption process, the birth mother and birth father are evaluated thoroughly and any “red flags” are noted. Red flags may be indicators that the birth parents aren’t really serious about the adoption or may not be very confident in their decision to place their baby for adoption. |
