Gregg and Leigh
Thank you for taking the time to read our story, and for giving us the chance to introduce our family. We are Gregg and Leigh, and our son, Cameron (along with our dogs, Jolie and Lolo), and we are all very excited to grow our family with another child!
In our home, there is always time for singing and dancing (the sillier the better), uncontrolled laughter, and unconditional love. We will provide a happy, safe, loving environment for our children to grow, learn, and thrive into the future.
We know the importance of a good education, and are prepared to cover the expenses for all of our children’s educations. We want to make sure they have every opportunity to reach for their dreams, pursue their passions, and achieve their goals, whether that’s writing a book, swimming in the Olympics, or flying to the moon and beyond.
We were both raised in families that placed a large importance on values such as honesty, hard work, compassion, and respect, and we will pass these same values on to our children. Everyone is worthy and deserving of love in our home, and we believe you can never tell a child ‘I love you’ too many times.
Gregg is 41 years old. He was born and raised in Cupertino, (Northern) California, and grew up loving dogs, soccer, and music. After graduating from UC Davis with a degree in Anthropology, Gregg journeyed south to LA, and eventually ended up working as a film editor, spending his days creating trailers for movies such as Beauty and the Beast, La La Land, Fences, Moneyball, and Cinderella, among many others.
Leigh is 35 years old, and grew up in Tucson, Arizona. The weather in Tucson was definitely much more agreeable to young Leigh, as she spent her days in the pool and playing softball and dancing. She moved to California for college at Chapman University, and after graduating, got a job as an art director at a film studio, creating art for DVD packages. Once Cameron was born three years ago, Leigh got to do the job she was born to do – be a full time mother. But those art director skills still come in handy for planning birthday parties and fun educational activities for Cameron.
Our first “date” was a road trip to a playoff football game in 2006. After three years of dinners, movies, and falling in love, we were married in 2009 at Leigh’s childhood church in Tucson, Arizona, surrounded by family and friends. And since then, through all of our adventures both big and small, we have only fallen more in love.
Whether we are out on an adventure, or having a quiet day at home, spending time together as a family is what we love the most. Some of our favorite adventures include visiting the many museums nearby (Cameron’s current favorites are the Natural History Museum and the Automotive Museum), playtime at the zoo or aquarium, and trips to Disneyland with all the grandparents.
When we‘re at home, we love to snuggle on the couch with a stack of books or play a board game on the floor. Cameron loves swimming, reading, playing soccer, building legos, and playing in the backyard with Jolie, Lolo, and a bottle of bubbles. In the evenings after Cameron goes to bed, Gregg and Leigh enjoy curling up on the couch and watching sports, movies (nothing too serious!), and reading (Gregg likes dramas, Leigh’s favorites are the Harry Potter books), or going out to live musicals at the theatre in LA. We also have a number of friends who live nearby with children, and we enjoy getting together to have lunch or dinner, and let the kids (and parents) play.
Now we live in a beautiful 3 bedroom home in a friendly, safe neighborhood, right in the heart of Los Angeles. We have a grassy back yard for the kids and dogs to run around in, and we are walking distance to a number of parks, restaurants, museums, excellent schools, and only a fifteen minute drive to the beach.
Thank you again for getting to know us better and best of luck with your decision!
With best wishes,
Gregg & Leigh
